What’s this all about?

This blog was supposed to start in entirely different manner, and even in entirely different language. But life works in mysterious ways…

Some dry facts:

On 10.10.2010 Ziki Shaked has departed from Israel to undertake the first Israeli around-the-world yacht journey.

On 11.11.2010 I boarded his vessel, the sailing yact Lorraine-D in Malaga, Spain.

The yacht has crossed the Mediterranean, and has left through the Atlantic ocean toward the Carribean islands, planning afterwards to stop in Cuba, Jamaica, Puerto-Rico, Florida, Mexico, Panama, many of the islands of south Pacific, Australia, Madagascar, Africa and arrive to Eilat in October 2011.

During the next seven months, I’ll share my personal experience from this unique journey, trying to update it each time we arrive to a port, which won’t be to often. Hopefully, it would give some idea about seafaring, and will show a few glimpses of the life on the boat and the places we’ll be vising. Enjoy!
